New FCC Studio Theater

A black box theater with moveable seating creates a more intimate setting for music, theater and lecture events.

The Mary Condon Hodgson Art Gallery

Established in 1980, the gallery is located in the lobby of the Jack B. Kussmaul Theater. The MCH Gallery receives northern light and is designed to accommodate two and three dimensional art forms. The MCH Gallery presents ten exhibitions annually, including two student exhibits, and works of art by regional and national artists.

The Arts Center is a cultural resource center that presents quality performances, exhibitions, and educational programs for the College and the community.
JBK Theater Box Office Hours
6-8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, three (3) weeks prior to most events presented by the JBK Theater.  Checks and cash are accepted.  The Box Office opens two hours prior to each performance.  Not all organizations that present events in the JBK Theater use our Box Office as a ticket outlet.  Additional phone numbers for ticket information are listed under each event.

Ticket Return (FCC sponsored programs only)
If you are unable to use tickets for a performance, you may return them FIVE (5) WORKING DAYS prior to show date.  All programs are subject to change due to conditions beyond the control of the management.  Please contact the Theater, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., to confirm programs prior to your arrival. 301.846.2512.

Attending the Theater
The Theater doors open 30 minutes before curtain time, or when we receive permission from the performing company.  For the audience’s protection we cannot allow guests in the Theater early.  

Seating Capacity
Because of fire regulations the capacity of the Theater is limited to the number of seats (409).  Parents may not hold children in their laps without providing a separate, purchased seat.

To request a sign language interpreter, please call 301.846.2476 (Voice). Requests for any accommodation should be made at least five working days prior to attending a scheduled event.

The JBK Theater Series is made possible in part through support from the FCC Communications, Humanities and Arts Department, Office of Student Engagement, the department of Administration and grants from the Frederick Arts Council, the Maryland State Arts Council and generous community sponsors.
