International Learning
London Work/Study Abroad
Imagine spending an entire semester in London, where students can take college courses, earn money while strengthening their resumes, and immerse themselves in one of the world's truly great cities. In Spring 2009, 15 students will study abroad through FCC's London (LWSA) experience and have a sensational time.

London Work Study Abroad is a 12-credit, semester-long experience of living, working, and studying in London, conducted in partnership with the Foundation for International Education. Offered each spring semester, the LWSA experience provides students the opportunity to spend about 15 weeks living in the South Kensington part of London. There, students will work about 20 hours a week, study British life and culture under the tutelage of a British faculty member, apply their newly acquired knowledge through online courses with FCC faculty members, and travel and play like any other Londoner.
LWSA is experiential learning at its best. It offers students the opportunity to leave the classroom and venture abroad, where they will live, work, study, and quite possibly make lifelong friends. Through LWSA, students will learn outside the box. They will expand their horizons, gain a global perspective and return home with more marketable skills and a clearer vision of what they want to do with the rest of their lives.
