FCC to Host College Night for Area High School Students
10/05/2015
Frederick Community College will host admissions representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities at its annual College Night on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

Area high school students and their parents are invited to attend the event in the Athletic Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“College Night provides high school students the opportunity to meet representatives from colleges they are interested in and make contact early on in their college search to ask questions and get advice,” said Marie Staley, Assistant Director of Admissions. “This event is great for any student who plans to go to college after high school, whether that will be at FCC or a four-year university.”

This year, representatives from University of Maryland, Towson University, Salisbury University, Rutgers University, Virginia Tech, James Madison University, Hood College, Mount Saint Mary’s University, and many other colleges will be on hand to talk to students.

FCC has provided College Night guides to area high schools to help students prepare for the event. The guide includes a list of the colleges that have been invited and suggests questions students should ask and information they should consider when talking to college representatives.

Last year’s College Night attendance exceeded 2,000 people. The FCC Admissions Office expects another large turnout this year and recommends participants enter campus through the north entrance, across from Monocacy Middle School, for parking.
