Women’s Center

The Women’s Center was created through a partnership between the Office of Adult Services and the Frederick County Commission for Women.  It provides a centralized place that offers:

  • Information about community resources and services;
  • referrals to those services;
  • workshops; and
  • social and professional networking opportunities.
The Women’s Center at FCC also sponsors special events at the college in celebration of Women’s History Month in March.

1. What is the Women's Center?

Formed by a partnership between Frederick Community College and the Frederick County Commission for Women, the Women's Center is a centralized location to access information about community programs and resources.


2. Can men use the Women's Center too?

Yes. The resources available in the Women's Center are available to men and women in the community.

3. What types of resources are available?

  The Women's Center has a variety of available services including:
      • individual appointments
      • workshops
      • web site
      • telephone referrals
      • lending library
      • on-site resources and referrals
      • Anne-Lynn Gross Breast Cancer Resource Center
      • other services as needed and appropriate

4. What is the Anne-Lynn Gross Breast Cancer Resource Center?

The Anne-Lynn Gross Breast Cancer Resource Center, located inside the Women's Center, A-103, provides a centralized location to access information about early detection, treatment, nutrition, and aftercare.

5. What resources are available?
