Children's Center "Nurturing a Love of Learning"
The Carl and Norma Miller Children's Center at Frederick Community College provides an enhanced child-centered learning program where children feel nurtured, secure and relaxed. Parents can be confident and trusting of the care and education their children receive as they develop strong social and emotional skills that ensure they will enter school ready to learn.
Child care grants to offset tuition costs are available to qualified students through the Office of Adult Services and the Financial Aid Office.
Our programs are coordinated with the Early Childhood Development Program at FCC. The Center provides opportunities for students to observe children, read to children, and engage in activities. Students needing internships are required to provide proof of current immunizations and undergo a background check.
"The staff are professional, it is well-run, and my child is thriving. What else is there to say?"
“The teachers are very knowledgeable and loving to the children, and engage them in age-appropriate activities.”
“The classroom structure and organization foster a wonderful and age appropriate education environment. Children learn through play and motivating experiences.”
“A great atmosphere where children are able to learn and grow as individuals.”
“My child has thrived since being part of the program.”
