A native Californian, Jennifer received her Bachelor Degree in Music from California State University at Northridge where she studied with many of the working studio musicians of the Los Angeles area. After graduation she set her sights on the music schools of the East coast and was accepted to the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. While there, she studied with Tim Day who was Principal Flute of Baltimore Symphony and his teacher Robert Willoughby. Upon receiving her Masters of Music, Jennifer then went on to study in England with the famous flute pedagogist Trevor Wye at the Royal Northern College of Music.
 
Jennifer teaches flute to children and adults of all ages and levels of experience and has been a part of Shepherd College faculty and Millbrook Orchestra. Currently she is on the faculty of Frederick Community College and Mount Saint Mary’s University. In addition, she teaches “Music History & Appreciation” and “Introduction to the Creative Arts” and is the Artist Series and Shields Scholarship Coordinator at FCC.
 
Her work in the community also includes an active lecture series called: God thru the Arts where she works to link the spiritual connections throughout all arts. Author of My Dancing Day: Reflections of the Incarnation in Art and Music and speaker at the Pepperdine Bible Lectures in Malibu CA, Tulsa Workshop in Tulsa OK, David Lipscomb University Summer Celebration in Nashville TN, Rochester College Streaming in Rochester Hills Michigan and Fort Detrick Prayer Breakfast.
