Changes for 2018-2019 Financial Aid Processing:
The 2018-2019 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available to complete
www.fafsa.gov now!
The process just got easier and is available earlier! You don’t need to wait for your 2017 income information. The 2018-2019 FAFSA will use prior prior year information. This means the same tax income, 2016, you used last year you will use again!
HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE STATUS OF YOUR FINANCIAL AID??
If you have questions about your status, check People Soft first. If you still have questions, call,
email or stop by our office. We will be happy to assist you.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING REQUIRED COURSES
Please be aware that financial aid will only pay for courses that are required for your program. If you have questions as to whether a course is required, you can access the FCC catalog online or contact FCC’s Counseling and Advising Office. You can also review your Degree Progress Report in People Soft for required courses.
LOAN EXIT COUNSELING
Loan Exit Counseling is required when you are graduating, leaving school, or drop below half-time enrollment (half-time enrollment is defined as at least 6 credits per term at FCC).
Exit Counseling prepares you for loan repayment and provides you with important details regarding your student loan rights and responsibilities and repayment plan options.
Completing Exit Counseling is a federal requirement. FCC requires that all students complete the on-line exit counseling session at
www.nslds.ed.gov.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office as soon as you know you will be graduating, leaving school or dropping below half-time.
