FCC Announces Lineup for 2018-2019 Moving Mountains Speaker Series

Frederick Community College has announced its lineup for the 2018-2019 Moving Mountains Speaker Series.

Speakers for the fourth year of the series include an award-winning filmmaker, an outdoor enthusiast, local business owners, non-profit founders, the State’s Attorney for Frederick County, and a cybersecurity educator.

The free monthly speaker series is geared toward teens and young adults. Speakers cover a wide array of topics, discuss their successes and challenges, and share important life and career lessons. Each talk includes a 30- to 40-minute presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period.

Each evening session is held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the JBK Theater, located in the Visual & Performing Arts Center at FCC. No registration is required to attend. Teens and young adults who attend and sign in for three of the six sessions in an academic year are eligible to receive a certificate of leadership and participation.
