President Burmaster to Take Part in Chamber’s Inaugural S.H.E. Week August 26-30


FCC President Elizabeth Burmaster will take part in S.H.E. Week, an inaugural week of events sponsored by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee to celebrate the strength, heart, and equality of women in Frederick County.
The Women in Business Committee has partnered with various local women’s organizations, woman-owned businesses, and women-friendly businesses to develop partnerships and programming that will take place August 26 – August 30 at locations around Frederick.

President Burmaster will serve as the moderator for “Frederick’s First Females,” a panel on August 28 featuring female trailblazers in Frederick County who are leading the way.

Panelists include:​

  • Major General Linda Singh, Adjutant General, Maryland Army National Guard
  • Jan Gardner, County Executive, Frederick County Government
  • ​Cheryl Cioffi, COO, Frederick Regional Healthcare System
  • Monica Pearce, Owner, Tenth Ward Distillery
The event will start at 5 p.m. in the Whitaker Campus Center at Hood College. Time permitting, a question and answer period will follow. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
