For Parents

For many of our students, FCC is the first step toward their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.  The transfer process becomes vitally important in a student’s educational experience.  FCC's Career & Transfer Resources can assist your son or daughter with that process.

We offer many transfer planning resources on this website and in our Counseling & Advising Office, and we offer individual transfer counseling.  Each semester FCC hosts a Transfer Fair with approximately 40 area four-year colleges/universities in attendance.  Students also have the opportunity to meet with area four-year college admissions representatives who come to FCC each week for recruiting visits and for one-on-one advising.

It’s never too early to begin planning for transfer.  Encourage your son or daughter to use our website to learn more about the transfer process, and to visit the Counseling & Advising Office for assistance.

FYI….. If your son or daughter is considering transfer to an out-of-state college/university, it is very important to visit the website of their chosen school(s) and make contact with their admissions office for transfer information.
