FCC Holding Open House for Kids and Teens Summer Programs
03/03/2016

Frederick Community College will hold an open house on Saturday, March 12 to showcase summer programs on campus for children and teenagers aged four to 15 years old.

The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in the FCC Conference Center.

FCC provides hands-on summer educational programs through Kids on Campus and Teens on Campus, which help children stay academically engaged during the summer months while also having fun.

“Each summer, our programs allow children and teenagers to explore new concepts, stretch their imaginations, and discover the joy of learning,” said Karen Freeman, Youth Programs Manager. “With the large variety of classes we offer, there is truly something for everyone, and we love seeing these energetic kids take over our campus and keep the learning going throughout the summer.”

During the event, guests will be able to meet with program staff and preview summer offerings, which include classes in art, music, LEGO robotics, cooking, writing skills, fencing, video game design, photography, computer animation, and more.

In addition to the summer months, Kids on Campus and Teens on Campus also offer educational enrichment programs throughout the school year and on Saturdays that include SAT prep, study skills, and home school enrichment classes. Programs are also offered on school days when FCPS is closed but FCC is not.
