Food Resources and Basic Human Needs

In order for students to be fully prepared and academically successful, basic human needs must be met. Various food resources are available on main campus and at the Monroe Center, as well as, services for mental and physical wellness. We are committed to providing free access to services to support students through any challenges they may be having. We want all students to know that there is always someone here who can help.

Personal Items

The Student Leadership & Engagement office has feminine products, condoms, and basic first aid supplies available free of charge for students. Visit us in H-101!

Food Resources

FCC provides two food options for students who, for whatever reason, find themselves hungry and unable to purchase something to sustain them.

The Food Pantry is our daytime option for grab and go food times intended to help carry students over between classes.

Students are invited to visit the Food Pantry once a day and take up to two items per day. The Food Pantry is housed in the Student Leadership & Engagement office, located on the first floor of the Student Center in room H101. In addition, free, fresh popped popcorn and water are also available.

Food Pantry

The Food Essentials Locker provides food options for students who are on campus in the evenings when offices are closed and may need a bit more than a quick grab and go snack. Food items in the locker may change from week to week but primarily consist of soup, cereal, rice, pasta, and other non-perishable items including some organic and ethnic options. Hygiene items are also available on a limited basis.

Students who are interested in visiting the Food Locker will complete the Food Locker Request Form, which can be accessed using this QR code.

The form will require your FCC ID number and some basic demographic information – no financial questions are asked.

Students who have registered will receive an email or text with instructions on how to access the lockers, which are located on the first floor of the Student Center in front of room H100. Instructions will include a window of time in which the food will be available, a locker number, and a unique code allowing access to the locker which will contain a grocery bag of food.  Students are welcome to take what they want and can leave items they don’t need.
