Frederick Community College (FCC) is pleased to announce that it has joined Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national, leading higher education reform network of more than 300 community colleges across the country. Alignment with ATD affords FCC even more access to key resources that help advance equity and student success in the pursuit of a higher education credential.
As one of eight institutions in the 2024 cohort, FCC will more intensely cast a lens on the areas of equity, data, teaching and learning, leadership, community partnerships, student supports, and more.
“At FCC, we believe that under the right conditions, every student can learn, and it is our job to create the right conditions,” said President Annesa Payne Cheek. “Alignment with ATD contributes to the right conditions and our goal for each FCC student to become an equitable participant in our economy, our society, and our democracy.”
