The Frederick Community College (FCC) Foundation is asking for your support on Giving Tuesday, the annual, global giving event when millions of people come together to support and champion non-profit causes.
Each year, this day is recognized on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, Giving Tuesday is November 28, 2023.
The Foundation has a goal of raising $5,000 for the Student Emergency Funds, which supports students in danger of dropping out of classes due to unanticipated emergencies. The fund can help students pay for food, rent, transportation, auto repairs, utilities, and more.
“We all know what it feels like to deal with unexpected expenses,” said Deborah Powell, Executive Director for the FCC Foundation. “For some of our hardworking students, those unexpected expenses can force them to drop out of their classes before reaching their academic goals. The Student Emergency Funds can ensure students don’t have to give up on their dreams, and we thank all our donors for their support to help us in that mission.”
This Giving Tuesday, give the gift of education and help the FCC Foundation empower students for a brighter future. For more information or to donate,
