The Art Area of Concentration enables students to explore and develop areas of concentration which may lead to an associate in arts degree, transfer to a four-year college or university program, or to pursue individual artistic directions.

Arts & Humanities
The A.A. in Arts & Humanities introduces students to a broad array of the Arts & Humanities and prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or university program in Arts & Humanities disciplines. Some students will choose an approved Area of Concentration, while others will explore the Arts & Humanities more generally. The A.A. in Arts & Humanities is also an ideal degree for students interested in earning an A.A. degree alongside the certificate in American Sign Language Studies, or for preparing to enter the Sign Language interpreter Program.
*The Arts & Humanities degree can be completed entirely online.

Audio Production
The Audio Production program provides the core skills needed to succeed in the growing audio production profession. Students will learn fundamental music and production skills while working with standard technology and equipment used in professional settings.

Music
The Music program provides the first two years of a four-year degree program for students planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music performance, music education, music history, music technology or composition.

The Theatre program offers students an opportunity to experience theater on a variety of levels, enabling them to participate as theatrical apprentices, to transfer to a four-year theater program, or to obtain an associate in arts degree.

Film & Video Production
The Film & Video Production program is designed for students whose career goals are oriented toward the mass media in the fields of multimedia production. Industry-standard software and equipment provides students with prevalent tools and hands-on training in the pre-production, production, and post-production of video. This program prepares students for careers in media production.

Graphic Design
The Graphic Design program is for students whose career goals are oriented toward design for mass media. Students will learn to produce design for publications, illustration, photography, public relations, presentations communications, web, and video.

Music Lessons
The FCC music program is led by expert musicians with lessons and ensembles open to students of all ages and all levels, from beginner to advanced, in a variety of formats. Annual Shields Music Scholarships are provided by the George L. Shields Scholarship Fund and the FCC Foundation.
