The Mid-Atlantic Center for Emergency Management and Public Safety (MACEM&PS) at Frederick Community College, in partnership with FCC Public Safety, recently launched a set of online learning modules focused on campus emergency preparedness.

“Keeping the FCC campus safe and secure is a responsibility shared by all of us,” said Kathy Francis, executive director for the MACEM&PS. “Individuals who take the time to review these 20-minute modules are building their knowledge in key preparedness and prevention areas and are helping keep us all safe.”

Four modules are free and open to all FCC students, employees, and members of the public. Those learning modules cover these topics:
  • Traffic Safety and Distracted Driving
  • Situational Awareness
  • Lab Safety
  • Campus Emergency Procedures
There are four additional modules available to FCC employees only. The additional modules cover these topics:
  • Campus Security Authorities Awareness
  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design
  • First Responders’ Communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals in a Post Pandemic Environment
