The Frederick Community College (FCC) Mid-Atlantic Center for Emergency Management & Public Safety (MACEM&PS) is celebrating 15 years of service educating, training, and serving a national public safety learning community. In recognition of this milestone, the MACEM&PS will hold a Partner Appreciation Day on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon in Sweadner Hall on the FCC campus.
 
The MACEM&PS team invites partners, students, clients, faculty, and staff to attend the event. In addition to a reception and refreshments, the event will feature a 90-minute presentation, "Decision Making Under Stress," provided by Leadership Under Fire, Inc. Registration is required.
 
The MACEM&PS provides essential knowledge to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emerging threats in today’s world. As an academic department, formal degree programs are offered from traditional and distance education models. As a workforce development asset, MACEM&PS delivers development and training opportunities for current emergency management professionals aspiring to a solid foundation in emergency management knowledge for career progression. 
 
Through its varied academic and training disciplines, the MACEM&PS annually serves a global audience, with students from 48 states, six U.S. territories, and seven countries.
