Construction Management Technology Area of Concentration within the A.A.S. in STEM Technology
Students in the Construction Management Technology Area of Concentration program are prepared for a career in construction management. Students learn technical expertise in construction methods, safety, materials used in construction projects, and how to read architectural plans. The program also trains students in business management and communication, estimating job costs, and managing project financing. Students gain an understanding of construction law including related federal, state, and county codes.

Students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university should discuss course requirements with the program manager.

 
Internship Program
Internships help students integrate what is taught in school with what is required in the workplace. Students take internships to develop knowledge and skills valued by employers. At FCC, students in certain programs are eligible to receive credit for internships.

Construction Management & Supervision Certificate
The Construction Management & Supervision certificate program provides students with the knowledge and skills required for an entry level position in construction management. Students are introduced to construction methods and learn about safety, materials used in construction projects, and how to read architectural blueprints.

Frederick County Public School students are eligible to receive free tuition and fees through Dual Enrollment at FCC for some courses taken during Fall or Spring semesters. FCPS students participating in dual enrollment may obtain required textbooks and materials at the FCC bookstore at no cost to the student. Students should speak with their high school counselor first if they plan to enroll in FCC courses or programs.
