Arts & Humanities
The A.A. in Arts & Humanities introduces students to a broad array of the Arts & Humanities and prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or university program in Arts & Humanities disciplines. Some students will choose an approved Area of Concentration, while others will explore the Arts & Humanities more generally. The A.A. in Arts & Humanities is also an ideal degree for students interested in earning an A.A. degree alongside the certificate in American Sign Language Studies, or for preparing to enter the Sign Language interpreter Program.
*The Arts & Humanities degree can be completed entirely online.

General Studies
Designed for students who are exploring academic and career options that are not represented by another Frederick Community College program or who are undecided about their educational goals. Students who have a specific career or educational goal should consult with an academic advisor to select an appropriate degree program.

Honors College
Honors is an enrichment program that can be incorporated into most transfer degree programs at FCC. Students who graduate from the Honors College and complete an honors independent study project, present at a conference, or earn service or leadership certificates gain a competitive advantage when applying for admission to selective four-year colleges or universities and transfer scholarships.

STEM
The Associate of Science in STEM enables students who are interested in earning a four-year degree to explore STEM, and supports students whose desired STEM transfer major is not directly represented by one of the FCC approved Areas of Concentration in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Mathematics. A STEM A.S. degree program and a STEM Technology A.A.S. degree program are available.

Social Sciences
The A.A. in Social Sciences trains students to analyze and understand human society and social relationships and prepares them to transfer to a four-year college or university in social sciences disciplines. Training in the social sciences prepares students for a wide range of careers and leadership roles in business, non-profits, education, government, and social services.
