Addictions Counseling
The Addictions Counseling program prepares students to provide treatment and support to help people recover from addiction. The Addictions Counseling A.A.S. degree and the Addictions Counseling certificate program provide two options for students interested in this field.

The Early Childhood Development & Child Care program prepares students for a career as a child care provider. Degree, certificate, and letter of recognition options are available to choose from and prepare students for a variety of child care positions.

Child Care Career Preparation
Child Care Career Preparation courses prepare students for a career as a child care provider. Choose from child care certificate programs featuring courses meeting the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care and Maryland Child Care Credential Program requirements. This program does not award academic credit.

The Teacher Education Transfer Degree Program (A.A.T.) comprises a curriculum that provides the first two years of a four-year bachelor’s degree and teacher certification. Multiple options are available for students interested in concentrating in various disciplines including Pre-K - 12 Education and Special Education, English, Math, and Spanish education degree programs. Curriculum prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university in the state of Maryland and articulates with the Maryland transfer programs in Education.
* The Education area of concentration within the A.A. degree in Social Sciences can be completed online.

The A.A. in Social Sciences trains students to analyze and understand human society and social relationships and prepares them to transfer to a four-year college or university in social sciences disciplines. Training in the social sciences prepares students for a wide range of careers and leadership roles in business, non-profits, education, government, and social services.

The Sociology Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences provides students with the requisite critical thinking, reasoning, and communication skills to transfer to a four-year college or university.

The History Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences provides students with the requisite critical thinking, reasoning, and communication skills to transfer to a four-year college or university. Students acquire knowledge about how people have interacted within societies and between societies in relation to a multitude of disciplinary areas. The Civil War Studies certificate program provides in-depth studies of the Civil War era.

The Human Services Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences introduces students to a broad range of social and rehabilitation services and human development concepts. Upon completion of the Human Services option, students will be aware of the demands of the human service field.

The Psychology Area of Concentration within the A.A. in Social Sciences teaches skills valued throughout the public and private sector, and prepares students for transfer to a four-year college or university.
