FCC Foundation Scholarships
The FCC Foundation Scholarship application opens three times per year and is available to all FCC students.
- Fall: 4/1 - 6/30
- Spring: 11/1 - 12/31
- Summer: Summer funds depend on availability of funding.

Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics Scholarship (STEM)
The Frederick Community College (FCC) STEM Scholars Program provides students who have academic talent and financial need with additional support while they pursue their STEM-related academic and career goals on a full-time basis.
STEM Scholars is designed to serve students with little or no prior college-level experience. The competitive scholarship program offers participants up to $13,000 in financial aid, as well as the training and mentoring needed to be successful in their STEM programs and prepares students to transition to the next stage of their educational and career pathways.
FCC STEM Scholars is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Parents Lead
Parents Lead is a Frederick Community College program providing assistance to parents in the pursuit of a college degree. This program is designed especially for financially-eligible parents, the program provides specialized curriculum and advising services as well as FCC Foundation scholarships for childcare while parents attend classes, or for other costs associated with child rearing. This cohort-based program is a combination of online and on-campus classes. Additional financial aid is available to assist eligible students with tuition and fees.

Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program
The Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program supports eligible FCC students by providing increased access to affordable on-campus child care services at the Children's Center. Student-parents who are accepted into the program will receive a voucher to help cover the cost of child care services provided by the Children's Center. The CCAMPIS program is funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Project Forward Step
Eligible applicants must be current participants in the Project Forward Step program. Single parents and adults age 24 and over who are low income, out-of-workforce, or homeless, and are beginning or continuing their education in order to enter the workforce, increase their marketable skills, change careers, or advance in a current job in order to become economically self-sufficient are eligible to apply. For Perkins Direct Student Aid, applicants also must be pursuing an approved career program at FCC.

Multicultural Student Services Scholarship
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a career program and speak English as a second language and/or demonstrate an economic disadvantage.

Athletic Scholarships
Full-time students who are playing a sport at FCC may be eligible for athletic scholarships. Please contact your coach for details!

Building Trades Scholarships
Scholarships are available for FCC students enrolled in credit courses in Building Trades, or non-credit courses in Trades & Vocational Training (Electrical, HVAC or Welding). Eligible applicants can receive an award up to $500.

New Market District Lions Club Scholarships
The New Market District Lions Club is sponsoring $1,000 scholarships for Linganore High School and Oakdale High School graduates who plan to attend FCC during the 2022-2023 academic year.

The Peg & Orley Bourland Educational Assistance Fund
This scholarship is to provide financially need-based funds for post-secondary education in trade, vocational or technical fields to help defray the costs associated with tuition, fees, testing, tutoring, trade tools and supplies, etc.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a resident of Walkersville feeder school areas
- Must describe their financial need, career goals, and specify how the funds will be used
- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational program
- Preference is given to applicants who are pursuing vocational, technical and skilled trade fields
The award(s) can be any amount needed, but will not exceed $1,000 per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).

Textbook Nova 2022 Scholarship
Applicants must write an essay response between 1,000 to 1,500 words on one of the topics listed on the Textbook Nova Scholarship page. The content of the essay should be unique, compelling, and informative and will be judged on these merits to determine the winner of the scholarship.
