The Biology Area of Concentration within the A.S. STEM is a transfer degree that provides courses typically required of biology majors during their first two years of college.

To prepare you for success in this growing field, FCC provides expert-led instruction, in-depth knowledge, and essential skills for entry-level employment and career advancement in the biotechnology industry. Programs are designed for students to gain real-world experience through partnerships with local biotech companies, including Kite Pharma, Lonza, VaLogic, and Texcell.

The Biotechnology program prepares individuals for employment in the biotech industry. Students combine molecular laboratory science, communication skills, manufacturing technologies and safe practices in the course of study.

The Chemistry Area of Concentration within the A.S. STEM is a transfer degree that provides courses typically required of chemistry majors during their first two years of college.

STEM
The Associate of Science in STEM enables students who are interested in earning a four-year degree to explore STEM, and supports students whose desired STEM transfer major is not directly represented by one of the FCC approved Areas of Concentration in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Mathematics. A STEM A.S. degree program and a STEM Technology A.A.S. degree program are available.
*The STEM degree can be completed entirely online.
