Automotive Technician

Expert instruction from certified professionals combined with hands-on experience delivers a working knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance to prepare you for direct entry into the workforce. At the Monroe Center, in our fully-equipped training lab, build practical skills, earn industry-recognized ASE credentials, and prepare for entry-level opportunities in one of the most in-demand trades in the region.

Program Information

The Automotive Technology program at FCC prepares you for entry-level positions in the automotive industry. Through hands-on training with tools and materials provided, you will develop a working knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance, key functions, critical components, parts identification, and workplace safety. Curriculum and instruction align with Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Maintenance and Light Repair certification and ASE Certification Test A5: Brakes.

FCC Completion Awards

Receive an FCC Completion Award for each course completed, recognizing your growing skills and commitment to the field.

Two Industry-Recognized Certifications

Upon successful completion of these two courses, you are prepared to pursue industry-recognized ASE credentials. Read individual course descriptions for information about exam fees and certification eligibility.
