Visual & Performing Arts Programs

If you are ready to turn your passion into a profession, our Visual and Performing Arts programs are built to ignite your creative potential. From foundational artistic principles to specialized tracks in Audio Production, Graphic Design, Art, and Music Theatre, we provide the technical mastery and expressive depth that modern creative industries demand.

Music Lessons

Individual instruction for students, ages 6 through adult and at any level of advancement, in piano, voice, guitar, brass, strings, woodwinds and percussion. Students may choose 12 half-hour, 45-minute, or hour-long sessions. An additional week is reserved for recitals.

Shields Music Scholarship

The FCC Music Program is led by expert musicians with lessons, classes, ensembles, and more open to students of all ages and all levels, from beginner to advanced, in a variety of formats. Annual Shields Music Scholarships are provided by the George L. Shields Scholarship Fund and the FCC Foundation.

Student Film Festival

The FCC Student Film Festival is an annual film fest hosted by the Film & Video Production Program. Students who are enrolled or have taken a class in the program have the unique opportunity to screen their work in the festival amongst family, friends, and the community. It’s a night of artistic expression via stories created by our very own students.

Campus Theaters & Gallery Spaces

A modern studio theatre features tiered rows of black cushioned chairs facing an open floor space. The ceiling is equipped with a complex grid of professional stage lighting and a projector, while large windows along the side wall let in natural light.

Jack B. Kussmaul (JBK) Theater

The Jack B. Kussmaul Theater, part of the Arts Center, is a cultural resource center that presents quality performances, exhibitions, and educational programs for the College and the community.

Mary Condon Hodgson Art Gallery

The MCH Gallery presents ten exhibitions annually, including two student exhibits, and works of art by regional and national artists.
