Registration Office
Located in Jefferson Hall on the first floor, the Continuing Education & Workforce Development registration office is open during
regular hours throughout the year. Extended hours are offered during peak enrollment
periods as noted below.
Regular Hours: February to June & September to December
Monday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Extended Hours: January, July & August
Monday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Online Courses
Preparing for your CEWD online course is simple. Find step-by-step instructions for accessing your FCC Student ID, setting up your FCC email, signing into Blackboard and Ed2Go, and connecting with IT support when you need it.
Technology Requirements
For ONL, HYB, or SR courses, refer to any special notes included in the class details. Students are required to have:
- Internet access (broadband internet connection is preferred but not required).
- Access to a personal email account.
- PC: Windows 8 or later. Mac: macOS 12 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.
- All software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
- Additional requirements may include a printer.
Blackboard Course Access
To participate in some CEWD courses, you will need to access your FCC Student ID and then set up an FCC email account to receive official College emails and important class information. Using this information, you will be able to sign into Blackboard to access instructor information, course orientation, and learning materials. Get started by following the steps below.
- Open Blackboard at frederick.blackboard.com and click OK to accept the Terms of Use.
- Click Frederick Community College Login.
- Sign into Blackboard using your FCC email address and password.
- On the My Courses tab, click on the course name to access it.
- For additional information, view Blackboard instructional videos designed for first-time users.
Ed2Go Course Access
Ed2Go offers a wide range of educational topics in both self-paced and instructor-led formats. After selecting a class and completing the registration process, you may access your Ed2Go online classes on the CEWD registration website by following the steps below.
- Sign into your account by clicking Login/Create Account.
- After signing in, click Menu on the left-hand side of the screen to bring down the drop-down menu.
- Click Current Registrations.
- Locate the Ed2Go class in the list of current registrations and click the Go To Class link to access your class.
Where is my FCC Student ID number located?
Your FCC Student ID number is accessible on the CEWD registration website. (If you are new to CEWD, it may take up to 24 hours following registration for your ID number to be generated.)
- Go to the CEWD registration site and sign into your account by clicking Login/Create Account (in the green bar below the College logo).
- Once signed in, click the green drop-down menu and then My Profile.
- On your Profile page, in the second row of the chart, the PeopleSoft ID is your FCC Student ID.
- Make note of your FCC Student ID and use it to set up an FCC email account next.
Why do I need an FCC email account and how do I set one up?
This email account, separate from your personal email you used to register for class, is utilized for official College and class-related communications. To set one up, have your FCC Student ID handy and follow the steps below.
- When you visit microsoftonline.com to set up your FCC email account, a new page will open and display a "Get back into your account" message. That is expected.
- In the first box, type W and your FCC Student ID, followed by @myfcc.frederick.edu. For example, if your FCC Student ID is 1234567, type [email protected] into the first box.
- Complete the CAPTCHA request and click Next.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set up a password and complete the process.
- Make note of both your FCC email address and password associated with this account.
How do I sign into my FCC email account?
- This is quick and easy - go to outlook.office365.com/mail.
- Sign in using your FCC email and password established when you set up your account.
- To reset your password, visit the FCC Password Self-Service System page.

Co-Listed Classes
Co-listed classes are classes in which participants have the option to enroll as either a credit or continuing education (non-credit) student.
These classes give you the option to enroll as either a credit or continuing education (non-credit) student. Coursework is graded, and expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for both credit and non-credit students. This option will be indicated in a course description if applicable.
A few things to know before you enroll:
- Tuition on select eligible courses is waived for Maryland residents 60 years of age and older.
- Associated course fees (program costs, books, and supplies) may still apply and are due at the time of registration.
- Co-listed classes may have prerequisites.

Getting Started
Visit the create a student profile page to set up a username, password, and contact information. Create only one profile per student. Guardians set up a separate account for each child. Household accounts are not available.
These changes require your 7-digit Student ID to process. To find your Student ID, sign in to the CEWD website, go to "My Dashboard," select "My Profile," and your ID appears in the second row. You may also request your Student ID. With your ID, select the appropriate form below.

On the Sign In page, click "Forgot your password" to receive a reset link by email. For a forgotten username, call 301.624.2888 or email [email protected].
Enrollment & Eligibility
Upon successful completion, academic credit programs provide credit for students pursuing a degree or certificate and those planning to transfer to another institution. Visit frederick.edu to read about degree and certificate programs.
Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) classes are designed for professional development, job training, and personal enrichment, with flexible classes offered year-round. These programs do not provide academic credit. Select workforce training programs award Workforce Training Certificates upon successful completion.
Most courses are open to students ages 16 and older. Students under 16 who have completed seventh grade may be admitted case-by-case. Online registrations generate an immediate confirmation email. If the confirmation is not in your inbox, check your spam folder. In-person registrations are confirmed upon payment.
Yes. Classes that fall below minimum enrollment may be cancelled, typically three business days before the start date. Classes also have a maximum number of seats, so register early as popular classes fill quickly.
Class Day Essentials
Most CEWD classes meet at the FCC main campus or the Monroe Center. Check individual course descriptions for locations and visit frederick.edu/maps for directions.
Shop at bookstore.frederick.edu or visit the FCC Bookstore in the Student Center during business hours.
Sign up for FCC Alert to receive up-to-the-minute information about FCC closings and delays. Classes scheduled to start during a delay timeframe are automatically rescheduled. See the FCC Inclement Weather Procedures for details.

Training, Career & Technical Training, the Construction & Applied Technologies Institute
(CATI), Healthcare Careers, and the Hospitality, Culinary & Tourism Institute (HCTI).
We welcome group tours to see our labs, visit the classrooms, and meet our instructors.
Group tours are available for middle and high school, adult, and community groups,
either virtually or in person.
