Maryland offers two pathways to a high school diploma for adults and out-of-school youth.

Option 1: Pass the GED® Test

Take and pass all four sections of the GED® test, covering Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, and receive a Maryland high school diploma. GED exam fees are discounted for eligible Maryland students to $14.25 per subtest through the Maryland state discount code. FCC can provide the discount code upon enrollment.

Option 2: Complete the National External Diploma Program® (NEDP)

Earn a traditional high school diploma through the innovative NEDP approach. The program is flexible, confidential, and can be completed in 6 to 12 months, allowing participants to draw on their life experiences to demonstrate high school level skills. Please note that FCC does not offer NEDP directly. Use the link below to find your nearest NEDP program.
