CPR/AED & First Aid Training
Become a certified CPR or First Aid Provider and know what to do in case of emergency. Instruction and hands-on training is delivered in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines. Each course awards an AHA course completion card upon successful completion.

CPR: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider

Designed for healthcare professionals, instruction focuses on how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, deliver high-quality chest compressions and appropriate ventilations, and provide early AED use in an emergency situation. The course includes simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations, hands-on BLS skills practice and testing, and a written exam. Successful completion satisfies CPR requirements for allied health and healthcare clinical or externship programs and fulfills renewal requirements for current Healthcare Provider CPR certifications.

Heartsaver CPR/AED & First Aid for the Layperson

This American Heart Association Heartsaver course covers CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants; choking relief for adults, children, and infants; and first aid basics, including how to manage an emergency until help arrives. These courses are ideal for community members, workplace employees, and anyone seeking the skills to respond confidently in a sudden cardiac or medical emergency. Selected sections of SAF149 are taught in Spanish. Review individual class descriptions for language details before registering.

Este curso se llevará a cabo en el campus en un entorno presencial. Este curso fue desarrollado por la American Heart Association (AHA) para cualquier persona con formación médica limitada o nula que necesite una tarjeta de finalización del curso en el uso de Reanimación Cardiopulmonar (RCP) y Desfibrilador Externo Automático (DEA) y primeros auxilios para cumplir con requisitos laborales, regulatorios u otros, o por interés personal. El curso enseña RCP y uso del DEA en adultos y niños, RCP en infantes, cómo aliviar la asfixia en adultos, niños e infantes, y cómo solicitar ayuda de emergencia rápidamente. Primeros Auxilios cubre habilidades básicas de evaluación del paciente, control de hemorragias, manejo de las vías respiratorias y emergencias médicas. CPR and First Aid for Pets

A hands-on course covering what to do in a pet emergency, instruction includes basic first aid and CPR skills for animals, chest compressions and CPR technique, wound care, bleeding control, vital sign assessment, pet health evaluation, basic medical emergency care, and how to reach emergency veterinary care when every minute counts.
