FCC is working to increase the number of in-person classes while continuing to comply with public health and safety standards. Comprehensive student resources remain available remotely to deliver College services to students.

On July 6, 2020 FCC entered Stage 1 of the Frederick Community College Roadmap to Resilience and Recovery plan. The College community adhered to the requirements of Stage 1 of the plan and successfully moved to Stage 2 on September 21, 2020. Additional information is available here.

On October 6, 2020, Stage 2 was amended to thirteen (13) individuals in specifically identified rooms on the main campus and at the Monroe Center. All other capacity limits remain at ten (10) individuals.

On January 5, 2021, Stage 2 was amended back to ten (10) individuals based on the Maryland Department of Health Advisory dated December 17, 2020.

On June 7, 2021, FCC moved to Stage 3 of the Frederick Community College Roadmap to Resilience and Recovery plan, with plans to enter Stage 4 on August 2, 2021.

On July 2, 2021, FCC announces the following changes when the College moves into Stage 4 of the 3R Plan on August 2, 2021:

  • Face coverings will be optional for all FCC faculty, staff, and students while on the main campus or at the Monroe Center.
  • Physical distancing requirements will be lifted along with other restrictions in place in Governor Hogan's Executive Order 21-06-15-01. 

Frederick Community College, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland, 21702, is located about an hour outside Baltimore and Washington, D.C.  The modern campus is just minutes off several well-traveled thoroughfares. 

The FCC Monroe Center, 200 Monroe Ave., Frederick, Maryland, 21701, is located just 3.5 miles from our main campus. Home to our Culinary Arts & Hospitality Institute, building trades courses, and several allied health programs, this is the largest college construction training facility in Maryland. Please follow the directions below or GPS using the addresses provided.

*NOTE: GPS directions are not always accurate. Students traveling to FCC via route 15 should take the Motter Avenue exit.

From Baltimore: Follow I-70 from Baltimore to Frederick. Exit onto Route 15 north. Follow 15 north to Motter Avenue exit. Turn right onto Motter/Opossumtown Pike. Travel one mile and turn left at entrance to FCC.

From Washington: Follow I-270 northwest from Washington to the junction with I-70 and Route 15. Follow Route 15 north to the Motter Avenue exit. Turn right onto Motter/Opossumtown Pike. Travel one mile and turn left at the entrance to FCC.

From the west: Follow I-70 east from Hagerstown. Take the first Frederick exit to Route 40. Follow Route 40 east to Route 15 junction. Follow Route 15 north to Motter Avenue. Turn right onto Motter/Opossumtown Pike. Travel one mile and turn left at entrance to FCC.

From FCC: Follow Opossumtown Pike south and stay straight to go onto Motter Ave. Turn left onto W 7th Street. Turn right onto N East St. Turn left onto E 3rd St. Turn left onto E Church St. Turn right onto Highland St. Turn left onto Monroe Ave. The Monroe Center will be on your right.

From the East: Follow I-70 W to Frederick and take exit 55 toward South St. Turn right onto Monocacy Blvd. Turn left onto E Patrick St. Turn right onto Monroe Ave. The Monroe Center will be on your right.

From the West: Follow I-70 E to Frederick and take exit 55 towards Fairgrounds, Turn right on E South St. and make a right onto Monocacy Blvd. Turn left onto E Patrick St. Turn right onto Monroe Ave. The Monroe Center will be on your right.
