Our flexible program builds skills in child development, health and safety, curriculum planning, and communication, preparing you for state credentialing and success as a childcare professional. Courses align with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Child Care Credential standards.

Program Information
FCC Certified Child Care Provider courses prepare you to work professionally in child care settings across Maryland. Each course meets Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements and aligns with MSDE Staff Credential Levels 2 through 4, helping you build the training hours needed to advance through the Maryland Child Care Credential Program.
Whether you are entering the field for the first time or working toward a director role, FCC offers a clear pathway from foundational coursework to specialized credentials. All courses are offered fully online, so you can complete them on your own schedule.
All courses are available through open enrollment. Register and start anytime. Courses do not need to be completed in sequence.

Earn an FCC Completion Award for each course completed, recognizing your growing skills and commitment to the field.
Maryland Child Care Credential Program
Every course in this program meets Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements and aligns with Maryland Child Care Credential Program Levels 2 through 4. The hours you complete count toward the Core of Knowledge training hours required to advance your credential level with the State of Maryland.
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Pathway
The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is the next step after completing your track coursework. Enrolling and participating in the CDA Capstone: Portfolio, Application, and Exam Prep course provides you with guidance through the portfolio, application, and exam preparation process.
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
After completing your program track and the CDA Capstone course, you are ready to apply for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, the most widely recognized national credential in early childhood education.
