Apply for Financial Aid

Two financial aid applications are available to FCC students: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) One App. Complete one application only. Which one you complete depends on your citizenship status.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The FAFSA is the application used by the U.S. Department of Education to determine the types of financial aid you may qualify for. Completing the FAFSA is free and gives you access to the largest source of financial aid available for college. You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen to qualify.

Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) One App

The MHEC One App is available for students who are undocumented and qualify for in-state tuition under Maryland Education Article §15-106.8. This may include students who qualify for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Do not complete both the FAFSA and the MHEC One App.
